Planned Obsolescence & the Oligopolists
It appears the treo has been designed with planned obsolescence. But it has become obsolete long before its usefulness!
It's amazing really. These things break a little more than a year into their service. I have gone through 3 already, but I refuse to continue with the absurdity!
What should my next phone be?And before I leave the subject, Why is T-Mobile such ogres? They charged me over $80 for calls I never received or made! When I travelled in Barbados, they claim that because someone dialed my number, I should pay the roaming fee each time someone called. They also claim I called voicemail after each of the unanswered calls which also incurs a 1-minute fee. And here's the kicker... they are trying to charge me $3 per incident which is really $6 per unanswered incoming call! Isn't that lovely. They are such Oligops.
I call it fraud. To claim I called when I didn't. Since they record all our conversations, I wonder if they can produce a tape to prove I called. No they can't because no, I didn't.
