Where are you from?

So I'm in Malaysia now. Yesterday, I bumped into 4 South Africans. As we shared our backgrounds, I realized how shameful it is to be called American. It is unfortunately true, that the name of America has been utterly ruined. When an American has to hide his nationality for shame or for safety, then there is a problem. The problem is that our elected officials in power have implemented the worst policies possible. The crooks running the US have broken election laws to illegitimately occupy their offices; they have lied to start and conduct Illegal wars, killing hundreds of thousands of people; They have committed and continue to commit War crimes for which they should be prosecuted. The US has revealed itself as a rogue state, lead by lying criminals, bent on turning the resources of the country and of the world over private core of the monied elite.

The US spends billions on war machinery, and uses it around the world to wreak havoc. And the people of the United States pay the price. They are really a silly lot. It would be laughable if it wasn't such a deadly enterprise. AMERICA, WAKE UP!

We are in the middle of a war. But the War is not just against Iraq. The American administration is at war against Democracy, against Truth, against the poor and oppressed in the US, and against the world. America finds itself in a terrible, terrible place . And while the US is at war with the world, any fair-minded, thinking American citizen must feel shame when he or she is in the world interacting with the US's declared "enemies". This is a low period for this country, and it's so because the American people allowed and continue to allow it.

To regain moral standing in this world, the Americans must
1. Put the President and much of his Administration in jail for the crimes they have committed against the world;
2. End all on-going wars and all efforts at Administration Change;
3. Openly publish the covert military operations the US has been involved in,
4. Issue a long series of apologies and commitments of "never again",
5. Submit its leaders to international courts and tribunals, and
6. Drastically cut all military funding, moving the war budget from the military and commit the funds to the following key items

A. Recompensing those around the world who lost lives and property in the illegal wars,
B. Recompensing those in the US who lost lives and property in illegal wars
C. Insuring free and quality education for all Americans
D. Instituting Nation-wide Anti-war education
E. Implementing free Universal health care for all Americans
F. Committing significant funds to world aid and meet international commitments
G. Completely Eliminating 3rd world debt
H. Instituting Voting reform efforts to assure every American's vote is counted

Until then, when people ask me where I am from, my response will be, "I'm from the United States, the country illegally seized by criminals. It's like being from South Africa under apartheid or Germany under the Nazi's. I'm in a liberation struggle doing my part to return the nation to it's rightful owners, the people.
